The Canadian Navy just released a new graphic revealing the latest details on the specifications and various featured systems for its proposed new warship. [See http://www.navy-marine.forces.gc.ca/assets/NAVY_Internet/docs/en/fleet/rcn_csc_factsheet-8x11_web.pdf]
I designate the new frigate as CSC-Elect because all the votes have not been tabulated, especially those from the Finance Minister, President of the Treasury Board, and indeed from the Canadian government as a whole. This is another way of saying that there is as yet no build contract for this project, and Father Covid is knocking.

Should be a very impressive and capable frigate for the RCN, however if Canada does decide to re-engage BMD with the US at a later date, will the CSC Frigate be able to handle that role (fitted for but not with). Will the CSC Frigate also have a laser guided weapon system (Lockheed Martin’s DEW-fitted port/stbd mid-ships) sometime in the future as well? What X Band AESA Illumination Targeting Radar from MDA will be fitted? These are all questions we do not know as of now.
