The future HMCS William Hall was launched (technically floated-out) on 27 Nov 22.
For those who are keeping score, this means that the NSS has now put four AOPS into the water – two commissioned (both have completed missions into Canada’s Arctic in the late autumn/early winter), one is in pre-commissioning fitting out, and the fourth is at the post-launch construction stage.
Not too bad for a much-maligned shipbuilding program and a fleet of ‘slush breakers’ as some early critics called the AOPS.
