Putin’s wargames stoke fears of Baltic incursion to test Trump | World | The Times & The Sunday Times

28 Nov 2016. Not strictly naval, but there is a very clear naval dimension to such Russian "adventures". These opening moves are reminiscent of those that heralded the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962. Kalingrad may not be an island in the true sense of the word but it is a Russian island/enclave within a NATO region. These thoughts lead one to wonder if the new American president is indeed being tested and, if so, can he finesse the missiles out of the Russian island/enclave as his predecessor did in 1962.
